International C-Scow Regatta at Erieau Yacht Club
11 boats joined us for 7 races on June 25 and 26 in Erieau, Ontario, Canada. Saturday morning started with lights winds from the south. By 10:30am the winds increased to 5 to 8 knots from the South East and two races were completed in Rondeau Bay. The winds increased to 8 to 10 knots and shifted towards the East allowing us to race in Lake Erie in the afternoon. Three races were completed in Lake Erie in the afternoon.
Sunday morning started with a slight chance of rain and it did briefly rain, but not enough to keep us off the race course. With a South West wind of 11 to 13 knots, two more races were completed in Rondeau Bay. Congratulations to T-17 Joe and Liz Shaub for showing a complete mastery of the C-Scow taking the win in all 7 races. Thank you to all the visiting boats, volunteers and especially head Chef Peter Barton. We hope everyone had a great time and can’t wait to see everyone next year.
